The Chicago Irish American Alliance Club

has been in existence since 1990. We currently have approximately three hundred active members, primarily from the Chicago area, particularly the South Side and the South Suburbs.

Our club is a non-profit social club and we have an affiliated Charitable Corporation. The Charitable Corporation has engaged in a number of charitable activities through the years, and is holding a fund for the establishment of an Irish American Retirement Home. The retirement home project has moved in "fits and starts" through the years and is presently classified as a "long term goal".

We hold monthly meetings for Officers and Trustees, and quartly meetings for Members. Membership also includes our quarterly newsletter.

The club sponsors activities and events which interest our members. The events which we always have are:

An Annual Saint Patrick's Day Party and a Float in the Chicago "South Side Irish" Saint Patrick's Day Parade
An Annual Picnic
An Annual Trip to Hawthorne Park for a "Day at the Races"
An Annual Golf Outing
An Annual Trip to US Cellular Field for the "Halfway to St. Patty's Day" White Sox Game

The Club has also sponsored dozens of other activities through the years including an Annual Dinner Dance, trips to Irish Theme Plays and Shows, lectures on Items of Interest to Members, trips to the City of Milwaukee Irish Fest, sponsoring Band Concerts and other activities.

We are always pleased to have new members join us. We are always interested in new ideas for events and activities and will consider sponsoring activities presented to us. If you have any ideas, gaming events, theater or cultural outings, participating in or sponsoring charitable events, whatever interests you will also interest other members and can help make us a bigger and better organization.
