South Side Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Once again this year (our 24th) The Irish American Alliance is inviting all of our members, families and friends to join the Alliance’s traditional marching  group including Uncle Sam, St. Pat, the Great Lakes Irish Wolfhounds, the Murphy-Roche musicians and the other usual suspects for our annual stroll down Western Avenue. If February is any indication the weather should be the best we’ve had in years!  The Parade steps off from 103rd Street promptly at Noon on Sunday, March 12th.
We will be staging our group about 101st and Western – we’ll let you know the address as soon as possible.
Why watch from the curb? We’ll be glad to make room on the Float for you!

“Bigamy is one wife too many. Marriage is the same.” Oscar Wilde
A Garda Recruit was asked during the exam “What would you do if you had to arrest your own mother?” “Call for reinforcements!” was his reply.
From our members
Happy 50th wedding Anniversary to Jim & Bonnie O’Reilly!
Also in an unrelated (we hope) event Bonnie is home recovering from knee replacement surgery. Get well soon Bonnie!
On a grimmer note, 4 year old Marty Brogan grandson of long time members Ed & Lucille Brogan has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. (See the enclosed page for details.)  Our thoughts and prayers are with Marty and the Brogan Family in their struggle.
